How Old Are You? You may very well know that age plays a role in your fertility. The older you get, the lower your chances are for getting pregnant. Once a women passes age 35 or so, the quality of eggs may go down. This makes it harder to conceive, as your hormones are not ideal for creating the best baby-making circumstances, biologically speaking.
Is it You? In your quest to answer the burning question – why cant I get pregnant – you really must stop and evaluate your partner’s fertility as well. You’re both in this together, and male fertility issues can be just as likely to be the culprit as female fertility issues.
Dietary Factors
Smoking – Obviously, you want your body in tip top shape (or as close to it as possible) when you are trying to get pregnant. It should go without saying that smoking is a big no-no when trying to get pregnant. The nicotine contained in cigarettes and tobacco can wreak havoc on your body, and this includes your ability to conceive. Luckily, the female body has a way of shutting out cravings for harmful substances like tobacco and alcohol.
Drinking – I shouldn’t even have to say this, but you should not be consuming alcohol when you’re trying to conceive! Enough said.
Poor Diet -Far more common than the above mentioned items is poor diet. As I’ve mentioned, you want to have your body in the best condition it can be in when you are attempting to get pregnant. I don’t have to elaborate for days on this, it’s all the obvious stuff you already know: eat clean, non-fried foods, drink plenty of water, eat as much plant food as you can (fruits and veggies), and stay away from junk food. You know, all that stuff your Mom may have told you. Before you know it, you may be a Mom yourself, and you’ll be telling your little to eat their veggies.
I hope that this article has help you answer the question ‘Why cant I get pregnant?’ I sincerely wish you the absolute best in your quest to get pregnant!
